Masonic Meetings
We meet five times a year at the Uckfield Masonic Centre, on the fourth Friday of January, May, June, September, and October, starting between 5:00 and 5:30 pm.
Our Installation Meeting is held in May.
Lodge of Instruction (LOI)
Before each meeting, we hold a Lodge of Instruction on Sunday evenings at 6:30 pm.
These sessions are central to our Lodge life, providing:
- Masonic education and ceremonial practice
- Mentorship and social interaction
- Guidance and support for newer members
Participation is encouraged but never pressured — ensuring every brother progresses at his own pace.
How We Work
We value efficiency and enjoyment. Administrative matters are handled in advance, so our Lodge meetings focus on meaningful ritual, fellowship, and personal growth.
The Festive Board
Each meeting concludes with a Festive Board — a relaxed evening of great food, friendship, and toasts.
The cost of the meal is included in annual subscriptions, allowing members to simply enjoy the occasion and each other’s company.
Charity and Fundraising
Charitable giving lies at the heart of our Lodge.
Every Worshipful Master selects a charity for his year, and members rally behind with raffles, auctions, and fundraising events. We also support:
- The Provincial Grand Lodge of Sussex, extending relief across the province
- The Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) and United Grand Lodge of England, offering national and international aid
Caring for Our Members
Our Lodge Almoner ensures compassionate, confidential support for any brother or family member in need, with additional assistance available from the Province when required.
Social Activities
Beyond our formal meetings, Dirigentes Lodge thrives on social connection.
We host clay shoots, barbecues, family days, and friendly gatherings — often welcoming non-Masons, friends, and family.
We also support events hosted by other Lodges, strengthening Masonic friendship throughout Sussex.
